On National Sorry Day, we remember the wrongs that were done to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We remember the children who were taken from their families, and the fear they felt. We remember the families that were broken and separated, and their grief. We are sorry.
National Reconciliation Week
Reconciliation Week is about respecting and being kind to everyone, to all people in Australia. It’s about people being equal. It’s about making the Australian community stronger.
We all have a part to play. Together, we can keep listening and learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culture, and create a better future for everyone.
We’re all in this together.
